Kitsune was surrendered to me by his first owner when he was about 9 months. His is the typical story, owner graduates, lands great job, buys house and the cutest puppy they can find. Of course forgetting that cute puppy is full of energy and like all babies needs to have an eating and exercise schedule.
I first met Kitsune when he was about 4 months while I was walking the dog I had at the time, an older female boxer. Kits was sitting on the sidewalk when he joined my Boxer and I for a walk, following us home. Fortunately he had a tag with a number. This pattern repeated several times a month for several months. The last time he followed me home, I called and called and called. 24 hours later I was getting concerned something had happened to his owner. Turned out she was out of town. After talking to the owner's mom, more than once, I agreed to keep the little guy.
Kitsune needed security and the Boxer I had at the time was a care giver.... I gave Kitsune to her. Looking back, she had a baby that needed her just as much as she needed him. Kitsune probably prolonged her life.
I first started using SmartPaks for my horse, BamBam. Later I added both the dogs for food and supplements. I love the fact that Kits always get a fresh package of food as well as the fact I can dish it up in the dark, mostly asleep.
I have found SmartPak easy to work with, keeping me informed of product changes as well as being committed to quality products.

Houston is a yellow Labrador who attends Lynchburg College with his owner John! He lives with John in the dorm while also helping to guide him around campus.
Houston hails from California and was not accustomed to Virginia humidity. His first month of college, he developed some hot spots which required him to go without his harness for a couple of weeks and a guide dog without a harness is pretty useless! The vet in Lynchburg, VA and Houston’s vet at home both recommended the Wellness Simple Food Solutions in PortionPaks.

The convenience of the small bags and the automated delivery make it PERFECT for a college student. John obviously can't drive into town to get food for Houston so this is perfect. Also, because Houston and his food live in a 12 x 12 dorm room, having individualized packets eliminates the smell of dog food in the tiny dorm room. Houston is the most perfect Labrador we have ever met and he is thriving on your Wellness Simple Food Solutions dog food. And he has not had any recurrences of any hot spots!

Miss Pennelle was adopted from a local senior dog rescue in August of 2006. She had been involved in an animal abuse case and was one of 80 plus dogs seized from a home in West Virginia.
We fell in love with Miss Pennelle’s picture on PetFinder and brought her home shortly thereafter. At the time of adoption, our veterinarian’s best guess at her age was 13 years, which would make her 17 this year! As she settled in to our family she went from being a shy dog that hid in the closet, to a sweet little peanut that enjoys snuggling on the couch and walking up to strangers for head-rubs.

Over the past year she began acting confused. She would walk in circles and get stuck behind doors, have accidents on a daily basis, forget what to do with food and lay in her bowl. We decided to try the medication Anipryl, which we order from SmartPak along with our pony’s order. Miss Pennelle now circles less, walks around with more thought and purpose, and is back to licking her food bowl clean. We never expected for a little dog of her age and background to be around for so long and we are happy the medication has improved her quality of life. In addition to Anipryl, we also give her Hip Action treats and she hasn’t had a problem going up and down stairs as a result.
I appreciate SmartPak in so many ways. I like knowing that I can place an order and get our delivery the next day. With two animals having health issues, it is good to know that I don't have to worry about running out of one medication or another. Thanks for making it easier to continue to enjoy my "special needs" girls!

This little spitfire has been as fast as a firecracker ever since she was whelped on July 4, 2000. Agility was a great outlet for her along with long walks and endless sessions of fetch in the backyard.
In 2008, without warning, she could not move her hind legs. After a visit to our regular veterinarian and a veterinary neurologist, she was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). Surgery was the recommended protocol, they weren’t sure if she’d regain movement in her hind end without it.

Being that this is invasive surgery, I decided to wait and see whether steroids and acupuncture would help. Slowly, she started to come around and our regular veterinarian recommended supplements. We now buy, from SmartPak Canine, Ester-C, Fish Oil Plus, Vitamin E, Grand Mobility, Canine Plus, and we recently added CoMalQ10. I like the fact that they are formulated specifically for dogs and are more palatable – meaning she doesn’t spit them out because of the taste.
The supplements have made a huge difference. We now regularly walk to keep her healthy and she does this with very little restriction in her hind end and no detectable pain. She can even play fetch again.
My 12.5 y.o. Pembroke Welsh Corgi is also on a SmartPak regiment to support his well-being through the senior years. I’m sure my 4 mo. old little one will also benefit from your products as he matures.

As the proud owners of three Boston Terriers feeding time can be a bit chaotic. Not only are there three, but they are all different ages with different issues. Daisy, our oldest, was not only old, blind, and grouchy, but we also had a hard time keeping her girlish figure in shape. We decided to put her on LiveSmart Chicken and Brown Rice Senior Formula. SmartPak also helped Daisy recently when she received two artificial lenses. The Comfy Cone was her best friend since she had to wear it for a month. Daisy is now able to see, play, and feels better than ever thanks in part to SmartPak.
Lilly, our middle aged dog, has an impossible stomach. We tried everything for her including taking her to the vet who advised we give her Prevacid every day. Not only is her stomach an issue but she also has horrible allergies. Her poor face swells like a balloon every spring and fall. SmartPak seemed like the only solution to our growing list of issues with her. After speaking with a Customer Service rep she was put on Wellness Super5Mix Complete Health Whitefish and Sweet Potato Recipe, as well as Probios and Source Plus for Dogs. I am more than happy to say she no longer is sick and her allergies are much less severe than they’ve ever been. If we had not put her on this regime who knows how long she would have been miserable. Lilly is definitely a big fan of her SmartPak food and she has no issues eating every bit of it.
Gordon, our youngest, is not only a big fan of his Wellness Core Original Dog Formula but he is in love with his Chew Guard Baby Dragon. Although he did manage to de-stuff it! He takes it everywhere with him, it is the cutest thing. We always make sure we have reserve dragons in the closest for him. When he is not playing with that, he is in the back yard with his Jolly Ball running as fast as he can.
SmartPak has not only simplified dinner time but they have also managed to make each of our dogs healthier and happier. Before SmartPak we had to beg our dogs to eat. Now there is no problem when dinner time arrives, it is the quietest part of the day.

Wilson is our 6 year old Golden Retriever. He does not have a fancy pedigree like our other 3 younger Goldens; he was a puppy we picked up from a nearby farm and is incredibly loyal, wonderful and playful. About a year and a half ago he began to limp and the x-rays showed severe hip dysplasia.

The vet put him on Previcox for pain and a Glucosamine/Chondroiton supplement, but 6 months later he was even worse as his leg had atrophied severely from non use, even though I was doing physical therapy with him. He did not want to put weight on his right hind leg at all. We were making arrangements to have acupuncture and then hip replacement, but I kept seeing an ad for Cetyl M Pet Tabs on RFD-TV and thought why not give it a try. What's another $35 after all we had spent and were going to spend?
This is hard to believe, but true...he had stopped limping entirely within 4 days. That was about 8 months ago, and he has not limped since. He enjoys our walks, and romps freely galloping around the yard with the younger dogs and "helping" us do yard work. The vet said we were "lucky" as the results were not typical. Lucky or not, it's amazing stuff and Wilson will be on it for life!

Jenna was found as a puppy, about 8 or 9 weeks old tied to a cart return with a bit of cotton clothesline around her neck, where I worked at. I took her into the store (was pet friendly anyway), tried paging an owner and waited. No one came to claim the pup; the only real option was to take her to the pound (something I could NEVER do). I decided to foster her and try to find her a home. I didn’t need a puppy; I was struggling with my severely autistic and mentally retarded daughter and an infant. If we were looking for anything, it was a trained service dog to help with our daughter not a puppy that still needed to learn not to pee and poop in the house! It only took a few weeks to see a bond forming between Jenna and my daughter (who had never really bonded with our now 9 year old Lab/Border Collie mix).

In the end, we decided Jenna was a gift from God; we raised her alongside our kids and worked hard on her training. She is now an Autism Assistance Dog for my 7 year old daughter and has been VERY therapeutic for my 3 year old son who has also been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. I had no idea a little over 2 years ago when I carried this little black puppy home I had found my family’s four legged hero who would allow us to live a more ‘normal’ life by assisting us when Serenity becomes overwhelmed by her surroundings. We had been afraid to leave the house because of the severity of Serenity’s meltdowns.
I had been looking at SmartPak for a while. However, the notorious procrastinator and busy mom that I am, I didn’t get around to it and continued to buy food from where I had always bought it and the same with my supplements. I went into the store to buy my girls’ joint supplement and they were sold out. Mind you, this store takes me an hour just to drive to, so I couldn’t justify driving back in a few days to pick it up. I ordered my first SmartPaks after that and when they arrived I saw how easy it was for my kids to feed the dogs. No more waiting for mommy to dose it out then hand the cup to them to dump it. My kids can rip off the label themselves and dump it on the food and they feel so proud that they can do it all by themselves. When it was time for autoship, I went ahead and added PortionPaks and even the heartworm medication my dogs get. So now, every 28 days, it comes automatically and I don’t have to drive an hour into the city anymore and risk them not having what I need. The best part is that it has made it so my children, who are both developmentally disabled, can feed and care for the dogs with minimal assistance from me. Both of my dogs are on SmartPaks, they eat a rotational diet of Wellness food (I change the order every month), and we use Wholistic Pet’s Canine Complete Joint Mobility and Interceptor.

I am a medically retired U.S.M.C, and being that I am an amputee (missing three limbs) in a wheelchair, I have a specially trained yellow lab K-9 assistant named Sir Lance. A friend told me about SmartPak’s website, and after checking it out, I called the canine line and talked with Bekky for the very first time. Boy oh boy was I happy. Prior to making this call, I had already been given information by my veterinarian and wanted to double check with SmartPak’s Customer Care Representatives. I had many questions and Bekky had no problem answering them- she was great and did it with all honesty. Bekky has kept her perfect consistency with each and every call I have placed. I can now say SmartPak Canine has Sir Lance and me as lifelong customers.

Being that Sir Lance is my K-9 assistant, I feel he needs to be in top health at all times. He’s only three years old, with a lot of years to go, and I want to give him the best. He is fed Wellness Core Reduced Fat Formula PortionPaks, which is given to him in his Brake-Fast Anti-Bloat Bowl, along with his Deep Sea Salmon Oil capsules. Sir Lance also has a daily exercise routine consisting of running a mile to a mile and a half a day on a treadmill, so joint protection with Cosequin DS is a must.
I could go on and on about SmartPak Canine, but here is the bottom line right from Sir Lance himself: "My master always gives me the top of the line from my food to my toys from SmartPak”. I too say THANKS SMARTPAK CANINE!

I received a SmartPak Canine catalog in the mail one day out of the blue and was happily surprised with the service you provide. My Chocolate Lab Sam and I love to camp and take road trips. Sam turned 7 in April and was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at about a year old, he also suffers from dry skin. So along with food to travel with it was also his supplements to keep high and dry. After much deliberation, I choose the Large Breed Wellness food (switched from many years of Merick), Missing Link Plus & Green Grass.
Wellness goes without saying as a great brand of food, the Missing Link Plus has worked wonders keeping him going and his skin and coat nice not to mention the ease of intake. Vitamins and pills were not always his favorite. As for the Green Grass I'd been searching for something natural to help my yard and not hurt my boy.
Well after only 4 months of being with SmartPak I'll never go back again! Sam loves his food (not that labs shy away from much) he gets all the stuff he needs and the grass will be green this year for sure. We are looking forward to our new travel buddy and can't wait to hit the road for our first trip of 2009.
After I received my first shipment I e-mailed my family and friends that have dogs and told them all to check out SmartPak.
Finally, your customer service department has been the best folks I ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with your product. A couple of months ago my shipment of Missing Link Plus seemed a little short. Before I had a chance to call I received a voice mail regarding the mistake that was made with my shipment and all was rectified. Mistakes happen but when a company can find them and correct them almost before you realize what happened shows a strong and engaged employee.

SmartPak has simplified my life!
My two dogs mean the world to my family and we’ve always wanted the best for them, which is how we came across SmartPak. Our lab, Java, was extremely overweight. As you can image with a lab she’ll eat however much you feed her and always has her sad “Please feed me I’m hungry” eyes. We all were guilty of giving in to her begging, which led to a significant weight problem. Tucker, our pitbull mix, has always had medical issues and we are currently battling severe degenerative joint disease and arthritis. He loves to play ball, go for walks and generally be active with his family, so it’s difficult to see him in so much pain at the end of the day.

Here’s where SmartPak came into our lives. I was searching for a company that offers one stop shopping where I can purchase joint supplements, medication and high quality food. I was thrilled to find all of these products here at my fingertips! I’m happy to say with the help I received from customer service our lab is now 15 pounds lighter on her Wellness Core Reduced Fat PortionPaks.
